Why the Nervous Chef? For some inexplicable reason I must tackle recipes that are complex and/or never tried before when entertaining, or try to do too much at once.

In my early 20’s, I had a freezer stocked full of frozen microwave meals and a fridge that contained: milk, a bottle of ketchup and maybe eggs. I wasn’t that great at making scrambled eggs. With a little help from beginner cookbooks, I was finally on my way to creating meals that didn’t involve accidentally setting off the smoke detector.
